WildInvest was launched in July 1997 by Diana van de Kamp. It is a unique charity, not least because it emphasises the idea that helping to fund conservation projects is an investment. We are all stakeholders in the planet and investing in its future produces incomparable returns.
Diana has translated this idea into an imaginative and stimulating way for conservation enthusiasts to make a direct contribution to a number of projects around the world that are dedicated to saving endangered species.
Diana van de Kamp, Director, WildInvest
My love for wildlife and the wilderness comes from a childhood passion for animals and wild spaces. My lifelong ambition was to be a veterinarian until I discovered I was allergic to dogs and cats. My career in the environment began by working for a U.S. Senator in Washington DC on the Wilderness Act and other environmental legislation. After eight years of membership sales experience with several professional associations at Institutional Investor in New York & London, I decided to translate the concept of annual membership subscriptions to the charity world.
Join us to make a difference in the world by doing whatever is possible to help push back the sixth and greatest wave of species extinction and to ensure our planet is populated with as many diverse forms of life as possible. "Biodiversity is the spice of life" When I leave this world I want to rest assured I really tried to make the planet a better place, filled with as many different works of natural art as possible.
